Delete your account
How to delete your Mic Buddy account and its data, on iPhone, iPad and Android.
Mic Buddy is made by NGSMedia LLC. You can delete your Mic Buddy account and the data that goes with it at any time: in the app, or by email if you no longer have the app.
Delete your account in the app
1. Open Mic Buddy and tap the round profile picture at the top of Today. Account opens.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
3. Tap Delete to confirm.

If the app is showing its subscription screen and you cannot reach Account, tap Account at the bottom of that screen: Delete Account is there too.
Deleting in the app also removes your recordings, transcripts, and account data from that phone. It cannot be undone.
What is deleted
- Your account: your email address, your name and your user ID
- The Apple or Google sign-in linked to it, and every device where you are signed in
- Your daily quiz games and scores
- The reports you sent from the app with Report, with the text they carried
- Any guest account the app made for you before you signed in, with its quiz games and reports
- On the phone you delete from: your recordings, transcripts and the app's other data
What is kept
- A record that the account was deleted: its random user ID and the date, so that an old sign-in can never bring it back. If your account dates from the app's older login system, records of its old sign-ins, which hold only random IDs and scrambled (hashed) codes, also stay.
- The daily quiz's anonymous totals: how many players gave each answer, and how each day's scores spread. They hold no user ID.
- Deleted data can stay in our database host's (Cloudflare's) recovery history for up to 30 days before it is gone for good.
- Your subscription: deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it in the App Store (iPhone and iPad) or Google Play (Android). Apple or Google, and RevenueCat, our payment processor, keep their purchase records under their own policies.
- Affiliateo, which credits referrals and runs our affiliate program, keeps its records under its own privacy policy. If you joined the affiliate program, write to us if you want that account closed too.
No longer have the app?
Email support@micbuddy.com from the email address you signed in with. Put "Delete my Mic Buddy account" in the subject and tell us whether you signed in with Apple or Google. We will delete the account and its data from our server as described above, and write back to confirm.
If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, write from any address and include the address Apple made for Mic Buddy. Your Apple Account settings show it, under Sign in with Apple.
If you never signed in, your account is a guest account with no email address or name, so we cannot find it from a message. It holds only a random ID, your quiz scores and any reports you sent.
Your recordings and transcripts are kept by the app on your phone, not on our server (only the words you chose to send with Report reach us, and those are deleted with your account). Deleting the app from your phone removes what it keeps there.
